Michael Doyle, President, Toptable Group
Michael Doyle’s success in the food service industry can be attributed to his ongoing pursuit of excellence, and his unwavering passion and commitment to provide first-class food and premium hospitality experiences.
Michael served as Vice President, Food & Beverage as part of a ten-year career with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. In Toronto, he oversaw the food and beverage operations at the Air Canada Centre, BMO Field, and Ricoh Coliseum. Michael designed and built E11even and Real Sports Bar & Grill, which was voted North America ‘Sports Bar of the Year’ in 2010 – both are located in Maple Leaf Square.
Prior to that, Michael spent ten years in senior management positions with The Club House Restaurant in California, and The Walt Disney Company, and is currently part of the executive team at Aquilini Group.
Jack Evrensel, Founder, Toptable Group
Jack Evrensel is known for his true sense of hospitality, attention to detail and love of food and wine. Each of the venues—Araxi, CinCin, Blue Water Cafe, West and Thierry—are firmly established in BC and Canada as leading dining destinations. All have received significant critical acclaim, both locally and internationally, and continue to evolve in the pursuit of excellence.
He is a founding board member of the Chefs’ Table Society and The Podium Club, which benefits the Canadian National Ski Team. As a member of the James Beard Culinary Foundation since 1998, Jack has brought teams of chefs and sommeliers to support the James Beard House in New York City (in 2006, 2002 and 1998). He was the first Honorary Chair of Taste of the Nation and supports many causes including the David Suzuki Foundation, Chefs for Life, Ocean Wise, the British Columbia Hospitality Foundation and the Green Table Society.
A great supporter of his community and the industry, Jack is passionate about working with talented and driven individuals, “in a journey of discovery of what is possible”.
