Araxi Celebrates Cornucopia

Tickets: http://whistlercornucopia.com/event/araxi-big-guns/

The Big Guns: Icons of the Wine World dinner is Cornucopia’s most anticipated event. And this year’s dinner – with a spectacular selection of highly rated, rare and collectible wines selected by 2013 Sommelier of the Year Samantha Rahn – may well prove the most exciting ever.

Join us on Friday November 8th, when seven stellar wineries from the world’s top wine regions will join together at Araxi for an exclusive one-off event. Each critically acclaimed wine has been thoughtfully selected by Samantha and her team in order to deliver an unforgettable evening.

“This year the wines I have selected represent complexity and finesse,” says Rahn. “We want to introduce our guests to some truly unique expressions of grape varieties and diverse regions in a collaboration of old world and new, tradition and innovation, rule breakers and trend-setters.”

Araxi Executive Chef James Walt will create a bespoke seven-course menu to carefully pair with the wines. Demonstrating the excellence of British Columbia produce, standout ingredients include Rangelands Elk Tenderloin and Sunshine Coast’s Northern Divine Caviar. And in keeping with tradition, he will also once again serve Alba Truffles, this year with a Buffalo Ricotta Gnocchi.

Each course will be paired with these exceptional wines:
