Toptable Group Appoints Lynn Gervais as Communications Director

Vancouver, B.C. (November 21st, 2013) – Lynn Gervais commenced her role as communications director for Toptable Group on November 15th. In her new capacity, she oversees the media relations strategy, social media activities, e-marketing initiatives, advertising, collateral and website content, community programs, and brand messaging for the hospitality group and it’s four elegant, yet approachable, restaurants in Vancouver and Whistler: Araxi, CinCin, Blue Water Cafe and West, as well as the chocolaterie, pâtisserie and café, Thierry.

Lynn was most recently the director of public relations for The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal where she oversaw media relations, marketing, advertising, and social media for the opening of the 57-acre waterfront resort, including 10 restaurants, in the United Arab Emirates capital.  Prior to this, she was in the same capacity at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), a property that she joined in 2010 as part of the opening team.

Before moving to the UAE, Ms Gervais successfully managed the media relations department at The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, particularly during the 2010 Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games. Prior to that, she worked in a regional role overseeing the public relations functions of five Fairmont properties in Vancouver.

Ms Gervais, who began her public relations career in the Canadian Rockies, holds a Business Management Diploma from Grant MacEwan University. She is an avid yoga enthusiast and loves all adrenalin sports from snowboarding to skydiving.
