Araxi’s Longtable Dinner Returns to North Arm Farm

ARAXI’S LONGTABLE DINNER RETURNS TO NORTH ARM FARM
– Toptable Group Celebrates Under the Pemberton Sun –
Whistler, B.C. (August 21st, 2017) – The sun shone brightly for Araxi Restaurant + Oyster Bar as it hosted its famed Longtable Dinner on Sunday, August 20th at picturesque North Arm Farm in Pemberton. Set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Currie, the seventh annual feast in the field is British Columbia’s iconic agritourism event each summer.
This year, Araxi’s award-winning Executive Chef James Walt headlined the event once again with a little help from the family of other Toptable Group Whistler restaurants. Chef Jorge Muñoz Santos from the wildly popular Bar Oso added his Spanish-inspired cooking to one of the many courses while the yet-to-be unveiled Il Caminetto (reopening this winter), offered guests a sneak peek with a taste from its Italian kitchen. Together with Restaurant Director Neil Henderson and Sommelier Samantha Rahn who orchestrated the seamless dinner and wine service, the Araxi team pulled out all the stops for a memorable farm-to-table experience.
Chef Walt’s menu – a cocktail and canape reception followed by a four-course family-style feast – showcased the best of the season with many of the farm fresh ingredients harvested on the morning of the event. With a passion for providing a memorable al fresco culinary experience, guests enjoyed Toptable Group’s commitment to the ‘art of true hospitality’ matched only by the spectacular surroundings in this special part of the world.

The 2017 Araxi Longtable Dinner festivities began with a reception at 3pm, followed by dinner at 4pm. In keeping with the Longtable theme, guests were able take home a memento of the day with Chef Walt’s award-winning signed cookbook, Araxi: Roots to Shoots, Farm Fresh Recipes.
