Italian Festa Del Fungo Festival at CinCin Ristorante
A Celebration of truffles, mushrooms and fine wine

 

Vancouver, B.C. (November 5, 2014) – Vancouver’s definitive Italian cucina, CinCin Ristorante, has declared the entire month of November a Festa Del Fungo in celebration of local mushroom and truffle season.

Until November 30th daily features, as well as a la carte options, are available featuring pungent and earthy, forage mushrooms and hand-selected Alba and Piedmont Italian truffles highlighting the hearty flavours of autumn.

Executive Chef Andrew Richardson’s mid-course plates are specifically crafted to amplify their local and European terroirs while Wine Director Shane Taylor’s cellar selections perfectly compliment the intense aromas of the truffles.

In addition, Chef Richardson has chosen a selection of locally foraged mushrooms, including pine, hen of the woods, and king oyster varieties that can be individually ordered. Truffle shavings may be added to dishes including veal carpaccio, porcini soup, and wood grilled polenta for guests to enjoy.

Enhancing the Festa Del Fungo experience is CinCin’s new Grillworks Infierno – the first of it’s kind in Canada. This stainless steel rotisserie-grill operates on a pully system that lowers Chef Richardson’s flavourful creations onto glowing apple and alder hardwood embers.
