 Toptable Group and Acclaimed Winemaker Gaia Gaja ‘Face Off’ at Vancouver’s Most Unique Dining Venue
– Exclusive Dinner in Support of Canucks for Kids Fund –

Vancouver, BC (October 16th, 2015) – An exclusive fundraising evening featuring fine foods and wines, orchestrated by Toptable Group in collaboration with Cru Wine Selections and highlighting Piedmont’s acclaimed Gaja Wines, will take place on Friday, October 30th in benefit of Canucks for Kids Fund. The location – a specially decorated ‘dining room’ at Centre Ice at Rogers Arena – will surely draw attention too. The guest of honour for the evening will be Ms. Gaia Gaja, daughter of Angelo Gaja, and the fifth generation of her family to lead one of the world’s greatest wineries.

Gaia_MailchimpMs. Gaja will introduce 11 legendary wines from the Gaja Piedmont portfolio, with some vintages dating back to the 1990s. The wines will be paired with a six-course dinner, with the menu drawn from each of the Toptable Group restaurants – Araxi Restaurant and Oyster Bar, Blue Water Cafe, CinCin Ristorante, West Restaurant, and Thierry Cafe. The evening’s kitchen brigade will be led by West Restaurant Executive Chef Quang Dang.

Founded in 1859, Gaja has forged an international reputation as one of the world’s greatest wine producers, and Wine Spectator has referenced their bottlings as “some of the finest Italian wines ever made.” Known for their modernist approach in a traditional region, Gaja balances legacy and innovation.
